Lend a Hand to a Phillips Student

Due to the rising cost of living and recent cutbacks in both Federal and private student loans, deserving Phillips students are struggling to make ends meet and complete their goal of becoming effective therapists and counselors in their communities.

Consequently, these aspiring Phillips students need our Alumni’s help and encouragement now more than ever.

Be an Inspiration to these students by giving a gift to one of Phillips' scholarship funds. Help support worthy students such as the following recent scholarship recipients:

Morella Cabrera (’01) works at the Children’s Bureau in Lancaster, an intensive day treatment program for children who have severe behavioral issues.  Jose Parada (’99) is a children’s social worker for the Department of Child and Family Services in Los Angeles, evaluating, educating and training foster parents. Sheila Tovar (’02) is a Mental Health Clinician, working with the chronically mentally ill, helping them to function independently in society.

These are just a few examples of the important community services that our alumni provide each day. 

Your donations will help Phillips educate and train students to serve a wide range of cultures and ethnicities throughout our city and meet the needs of underserved populations. All recipients exemplify commitment to educational achievement and giving back to the community.
