Library Services and Resources

The Library collection has been developed to serve Phillips Graduate Institute students, interns, faculty, and current members of the Alumni Association. Individuals unaffiliated with Phillips Graduate Institute may purchase a Library membership for an annual fee.

Interlibrary Loan
Books, journal articles, and dissertations not owned by the Phillips Graduate Institute Library can be obtained through the Library's Interlibrary Loan Service. Fees for copies of journal articles are $10.00; books can be also borrowed for $10.00. Questions about interlibrary loans can be directed to Andrea Anzalone or Linda Folsé.

Literature Searching
The library offers access to a number of online databases on the EBSCOhost system, including PsycINFO, PsycARTICLES, Psychology and Behavioral Sciences Collection and Academic Search Elite. Also available is LexisNexis Academic Universe, covering news, business, and legal research, and SAGE Premier, a collection of over 500 peer-reviewed journals. Assistance from library staff is available on a drop-in basis, or appointments may be made for detailed one-on-one instruction.

Other Library Services

Photocopies can be made in the Library for 10 cents a page. There is a $1.00 per page charge to send or receive documents via fax.A number of computer workstations are available free of charge for student use both in the library and in the adjacent Learning Lab. Students can connect to the Internet and may use the library's word processing software and other programs. Printouts are 10 cents per page. Formatted high density diskettes are available at the circulation desk for $1.00 each.A VCR and an IBM Selectric typewriter are available free of charge. A microfiche reader/printer allows viewing and printing of the wide assortment of microfiche found in the library, including journals and selected tests and measurements. There is a 10 cents per page charge for printouts.
