Application Process

TO APPLY FOR ADMISSION

1. Click here to download a copy of the Admission Application Packet.

2. Read all information in the application packet regarding admissions policies and procedures.

3. Submit all application documents, application fees and transcripts to:

4. Original documents are required to complete the application process, and applicants are encouraged to send these documents directly to Phillips as soon as possible.

APPLICATION DATES

Applications are accepted on a “rolling” basis, which means the Admissions Committee will review eligible candidate files until there are no openings left in the entering class. We encourage all applicants to submit their materials by the Priority Application date (see dates below) so they can be considered for admission for the semester in which they wish to start. Please note that not all programs start each semester. 

  • Fall 2010 Semester
    Priority Application Date (Masters Programs): April 16, 2010

    Priority Application Date (Doctoral Programs): January 29, 2010
          
    Classes begin week of August 23, 2010 

  • Spring 2011 Semester
    Priority Application Date (Masters Programs): November 15, 2010                                               
    Classes begin week of January 3, 2011

APPLICATION FEE

A fee of $75.00 is to be submitted with your application in order for it to be considered. Application fees are non-refundable. You may submit a check or money order payable to Phillips Graduate Institute or provide credit card information in the appropriate space on the application form.

TRANSCRIPTS

Applicants are required to submit transcripts in a sealed envelope marked as "Official" from all colleges/universities attended, foreign and domestic. This includes all undergraduate and graduate work, including part-time and summer sessions, even if transfer units appear on another document. If courses were completed with pass/fail grades, an applicant should request that the Registrar for that college/university attach any narrative evaluations explaining the grading system requirements.

Academic degrees and coursework from universities and institutions outside of the United States must be equivalent to coursework completed and degrees earned at a regionally accredited college or university in the United States. For more information on approved translation and equivalency evaluation services, please contact the Office of Admissions.
