Training Opportunities

California Family Counseling Center, located on the campus of Phillips Graduate Institute in Encino, provides the opportunity for students and interns to draw on the rich resources of the Institution. State-of-the-art counseling rooms with two-way mirrors and video equipment, children's play therapy rooms, and an extensive library are all on-site.

Our goal at the California Family Counseling Center, (CalFam), is to provide an enriching training and supervision experience which is essential to support the development of a mental health professional. CalFam counselors work in several settings and with a variety of populations and issues. In addition to individual and/or group supervision, Phillips Graduate Institute's faculty and other professional experts provide weekly training seminars on a variety of topics.

CalFam counselors receive high praise from professionals in the field and CalFam has a reputation for developing excellent clinicians who are ready to meet the many challenges of being a mental health professional.
