Educational Philosophy

The department of Continuing Education at Phillips Graduate Institute offers classes, workshops, special events and certificate programs for pre and post licensed mental health practitioners, educators and the business community.  This department is designed to be responsive to the changing needs, schedules and expanding awareness of our community and conforms to the requirements for Mandatory Continuing Education (MCE).

Classes are conducted at the graduate level and certificates are awarded at the completion of all offerings. All workshops are conducted on campus unless otherwise stated.

Our classes are approved to grant Continuing Education by the following licensing boards:  the Board of Behavioral Sciences for MFTs and LCSWs (Provider# PCE 677).  Our Co-Occuring Disorders Program is approved for Continuing Education by the California Association of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselors (CAADAC Provider #2N860550506).  Courses are currently under review by the Board of Psychology for MCEP credit.
