SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA MFT CONSORTIUM

est. 1994

 

Serving the MFT Schools and Training Agencies of Seven Counties:

Kern, Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, Santa Barbara & Ventura

 

The Southern California MFT Consortium represents graduate institutions with MFT programs and community agencies that provide practicum training to MFT students. The MFT Consortium was formed in 1994 in anticipation of legislative changes requiring MFT schools to approve the practicum sites for their students. The mission of the MFT Consortium is to raise the quality of clinical preparation of MFT Trainees. Towards that end the schools and practicum sites collaborate in addressing issues of readiness for practicum experience, effective supervisory practice and professional mentorship of students.

Members of the MFT Consortium include faculty, academic administrators, clinical supervisors and agency directors. Professionals interested in the academic preparation and clinical training of MFTs are welcome to join.
